Log into UCPath and review or complete the following:

  • Complete your self-identification information (required on first login).
  • Set up security questions and answers (required on first login).

    • Legal name
    • Lived name

  • Update your federal withholding information (W-4) by Aug. 5, to ensure the system withholds the proper amounts. There will be no retroactive changes if the W4 is not updated by Aug. 5.

Step3

Complete benefits enrollment

Log into UCPath and complete your benefits enrollment. You have 31 days from Aug. 1 to enroll.

Continue to use the UCSF Health Saint Francis and St. Mary’s Hospitals and Clinics site as the starting point to understanding your UCSF transition, finding resources and FAQS, and tracking all the actions required of you.

For represented employees

The UCSF CNA (California Nurses Association) and AFSCME-EX (Patient Care Technical Unit of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) contracts provide for experience-based wage scales. To ensure employees are placed on the correct step of the wage scale, we are asking employees of these unions complete the Work Experience Form with their relevant work history.

During the week of Aug. 5, employees represented by these two unions will receive an email with a link to the Work Experience Form. We ask that all employees provide the relevant experience by Sept. 6. Any corrections needed after reviewing the Work Experience Form will be applied retroactively to Aug. 1 (i.e., you will receive the higher rate for all hours worked starting Aug. 1). Given the large volume of reviews needed, please allow a month after submission for UCSF to review the forms and confirm any necessary adjustments.
