APeX Electronic Health Record
APeX (Advancing Patient-Centered Excellence) is UCSF Health’s brand for the Epic platform being implemented at UCSF Health Saint Francis and St. Mary’s Hospitals.
Go-live is Oct. 4, 2025, and we'll be posting information on APeX to keep you up to date on important preparation milestones.
APeX Training Registration Is Underway!
Managers must register themselves and their staff.
Super User training is already underway and ends on July 18 - make sure your Super User staff are registered!
Register the rest of your staff by Friday, July 25 - their training begins July 28 and ends Sept. 19.

Hardware Removal and Replacement
IT is installing hardware in preparation for the Oct. 4 transition to APeX at Saint Francis and St. Mary’s as part of the IntegrateIT program.
You will see an increase in activity at both hospitals as technicians deliver and set up more than 1,200 new UCSF computers and replace monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and other equipment.
Please do not move or disconnect any of the new devices.
To free up network ports for critical UCSF devices, technicians may be removing some desk phones in certain areas. Also, CommonSpirit Health desktop computers across Saint Francis and St. Mary’s locations may be migrated to the UCSF Wi-Fi network instead of remaining on the wired network.
See the schedule and learn more.
