Overview
There are several options for storing your data at UCSF. The following resources will assist you with accessing, navigating, and utilizing the available storage platforms at UCSF.
Transfer your files and data
Move your computer files and data before Oct. 4
UCSF will complete its Information Technology transition with the APeX (Epic EHR) Go-Live on Oct. 4.
Please note:
- If you haven’t already done so, you should transfer your Google Drive files to a UCSF-provided storage solution now – don’t wait until Oct. 4!
- If you have files containing sensitive or restricted data (known as Protected Health Information, PHI, or P3 and P4 data), when you transfer them to a UCSF-provided storage solution, they will be encrypted and you will not be able to access those files until you are using a UCSF computer on or after Oct. 4. For files containing PHI that you need access to prior to Oct. 4, it is recommended that you move them on Oct. 4 or very soon after.
Microsoft OneDrive
Access and edit your files from any of your devices. Share inside or outside your organization and work together in real-time on Office documents. Quickly find the files that matter to you but also keep them protected and backed up.

Application Login Prompts
All UCSF applications are hosted on the UCSF network, and are supported by different single sign-on (SSO) platforms. Consequently, users may be prompted to log in with their UCSF account information again when accessing a new application.
Users may also be asked to log in again when opening an application in a private browser tab and/or if it has been more than 16 hours since they last accessed the application.
