Overview

Okta is a platform that connects users with applications. As a UCSF employee, you will use Okta as the method to provide access to some of the applications you will utilize in your day-to-day responsibilities.

Application Login Prompts

All UCSF applications are hosted on the UCSF network, and are supported by different single sign-on (SSO) platforms. Consequently, users may be prompted to log in with their UCSF account information again when accessing a new application.

Users may also be asked to log in again when opening an application in a private browser tab and/or if it has been more than 16 hours since they last accessed the application.
